Brothers & sisters of MCAD are always keen to try
new things. Recently we are taking up the challenge to adopting an old folks
home in-house clinic.
By taking up this challenge, we are providing free monthly medical screenings and pharmaceutical aids to the old folks at the Rumah Charis. |
MCAD members are actively involved in all Emergency Medical Assistance Service (EMAS) activities: from launching to operations. We responded to Medical Emergencies and Road Accidents. |

Through smart partnership between Lions Club, MCAD also playing a role on collecting aluminum can’s ring tabs for the purpose of making artificial limbs. |
Being
a member with MCAD is never boring. Get together to have BBQ is the most
famous activity. This year, a Durian gathering is organised
to have everyone in for the most famous fruit in Yes... we will have even more after this. |

Nothing is better than helping to save lives. Blood Donation Campaign is one of the best thing MCAD can do for those who needs blood. |
Emergency Ambulance Service is the main factor for one who needs emergency care to be able to survive until he reaches the hospital. Proper emergency care is so important to avoid sending a dead body to hospital. Ambulances are too required during orther emergencies, such as fire emergency. A special clip on a Chemical Factory Fire will prove the need of ambulance standby. |

Cooking Competition is a tradition in SJAM. Our chef is there to enjoy cooking and the food. But they too made it to be the champion. |
Dinners are not only food, but celebration, fellowship, recognition and also charity. We have AGM dinner, Appreciation Dinner, Charity Dinner, etc. But our 5th Anniversary Dinner marked the great day: 25th December 2004 - a celebration before Asian Tsunami. |
Trainings is the the most important for SJAM. All members must be keep on update to the latest live saving protocols. We have the most number of First Aid Trainers. We are always able to cope for the training we need for members and provide help to various parties to organize major trainings. The latest is the National CPR Workshop for Healthcare Providers which held on 31 Mac - 1st April 2007 |

Flag Day is a SJAM tradition. It is a celebration for St. John Day (24th June). MCAD is playing another role other than street collection - we help to count the tins. Flag Day tins are full of surprises: you may have a RM100 note, you may just have tin-full of 1 sen coins. |

"Don't ask what SJAM can give you, but ask what you can give to SJAM." Investiture Ceremony is the only place SJAM can give you a little thing. MCAD

Pre-Hospital Care for Trauma Victims was introduced by MCAD in 2002 with the aim to train more people in providing proper emergency care. Members will be trained in managing airway, use of oxygen, management of scene, management of trauma casualty, and many other advanced knowledge and skills. |
Training is purposeless is not put into practical. Public Duty is the main activity in SJAM. Members are given tasks to ensure the safety of public during an event. Members are also given chance to enjoy their duty especially such service provided for a show or dinner. |
Public Duty is no joke. One of the biggest event SJAM handling is Thaipusam. Thaipusam is one single event that requires SJAM's service for more than 30 hours. Medical Base in Thaipusam is simply a smaller A&E Department out of the hospital. MCAD always has a role to play in this 500,000 people participating event: first aid, ambulance, radio control, station manager, etc. |
First aid is not the end of activities we are involved in. MCAD too playing important roles in Welfare. Through smart partnership, MCAD is an important role when Lions Club International goes round the Tsunami Relieve Centres. Same goes when SJAM was working with Majlis Belia Negeri in medical relief work for Tsunami victims. "We Care" |
Public Education is the best Preventive Medicine for road accidents. Demonstration and exhibition is something MCAD is able to help in promoting public awareness. MCAD members are always called upon for demonstrations during major events like Road Safety Campaigns, Inspection Day and etc. |
