SJAM Members Celebrates New Year with Tsunami Victims

Penang — Members from Millennium Combined Adult Division were called by their Division President Mr. Philip Ooi to assist in the Lions Tsunami Disaster Project on 1st and 2nd January 2005.

Mr. Philip Ooi who is also the District Governor for Lions Club International District 308B2, led the convoy that consists of more than 12 vehicles to 9 relief centres throughout Penang Island.

As partners in Service to Mankind, SJAM and Lions Club work hand in hand to deliver clothes, food, drinks, bags and stationaries to tsunami victims. The convoy visited victims in Bagan Jermal, Tanjung Tokong, Tanjung Bungah, Pantai Acheh, Jalan Bahru, Kuala Sungai Pinang, Pulau Betong, Teluk Kumbar and Permatang Damar Laut relief centres.
